This hotel is brand new and really lovely, great value for money. It's in a quieter neighbourhood than some of the big name areas of Tokyo, but that is its charm. The hotel room is bigger than we expected and the amenities are really lovely, all new. The bananas, muffins and donuts are a welcome snack at breakfast and our laundry was done for us very quickly at a great price. This is a shoes off, slippers on hotel and you store your shoes in a locker at the front door. They have a compendium of eating options in your room and we had an excellent meal at the tiny restaurant next door on our first night, and on our second night another excellent meal closer to the Uguisadani station, there are plenty of dining options near this hotel. You'll need to be more inventive if you want a savoury breakfast, breakfast cafes as I know them don't seem to be a thing in Japan and the best you'll get is a coffee shop selling scones or sandwiches. The Netflix in English was a pleasant addition to our stay also, a nice surprise! I must reiterate that this hotel is very well priced for the location and the amenities, highly recommended place to stay.

It was a positive experience staying at The Barn. Checking in was seamless and we were greeted by Rin when we pressed the bell. To avoid getting extra charges for checking in early, we were allowed to store our luggages in our room first and leave as we arrived early. The room is unusally big and clean. Bed and pillows are very comfortable and they have netflix. Very quiet and lots of privacy. Easy check in and check out too. This is the place to pick if you would like an experience staying in a local neighbourhood. What made the stay most memorable is the warmth and hospitality of Rin. Rin can communicate well in English and she went the extra mile to help us. We expected a parcel and it needed refigeration immediately. She was kind enough to help us put it in the room fridge while we were away in the day. When we could not get a cab to the airport, she went all out to get a cab for us across the street. She's such a gem and definitely makes us feel cared

The hotel is new and the rooms are modern. I stayed in a queen sized room which was quite large and had plenty of space. As you may expect the place was spotlessly clean. The mattress was firm and super comfortable! They do not have breakfast but do offer doughnuts, muffins and bananas for free. There is a large supermarket about 5 minutes walk from the hotel with excellent read made food packages and fresh fruits. The JR line stop of uguisudani is about 3 minutes walk from the hotel. The surrounding area is residential with old fashioned small houses, it is really a peak into the non - touristy Tokyo.

Location - it is super convenient as the hotel is just a few minutes from Uguisudani station. There are loads of nice eateries around and there’s a supermarket nearby, in addition to the convenience stores. Comfort - The bed is very comfortable! Facilities are new and well maintained. Room is a good size for my friend and I with our two big luggage. Loadsa room for us to lay out both our bags for packing. Service - May is very prompt in her reply and assistance on the app. A pity we did not get to meet her. But we had Lyn who is so sweet and helpful.

Loved our stay here. The room was perfectly sized and situated for our needs. The staff were great, as were the facilities. The hotel is a short walk from Uguisudani station, which is well connected to the rest of Tokyo. It’s not a super touristy area, which might put off some people who want to stay in a hotel and area that is built around their needs, but we really liked the authenticity of the hotel and the surroundings. Supermarket and convenience stores also nearby, which was useful.
